It’s holiday season, which means it’s house guest season. While we want our guests to feel at home, sometimes it still feels bothersome to ask people for things while you’re a guest in their home. So to prevent the asking keep the guest room ready and stocked for your guests.
Make sure your guests are comfy in their rooms. Fresh crisp bed sheets, enough pillows (better too many than not enough), and extra blankets easily seen and accessible. Have a snack basket with snacks and bottled water so they don’t feel like they need to wonder around the house in the middle of the night to get something.
Keep the bathroom stocked with the essentials. Have some travel sized products available for them. Make sure there are enough towels, tissues and toilet paper. Have things like hair dryers handy. If the guest bath isn’t attached to the guest bedroom have a little bath caddy they can carry their things to and from their rooms in.
